Stop Press for August 6th through August 7th

August 8, 2007

  • Where’s your innovation? – Suw Charman’s excellent response to the end of Project Red Stripe, The Economist’s Skunk Works project, which I wrote about enthusiastically a while ago.
  • A Defence of the Book (ReadySteadyBook) – An essay from a teacher that shows exactly why those who believe, like I do, in a better future for literature, literacy and learning through technology, need to be better at explaining ourselves. Very depressing.
  • Inform 7 – Inform is a design system for interactive fiction, a new medium for writers which began with adventure games in the late 1970s and is now used for everything from literary narrative fiction through to plotless conceptual art. [Via Zeroinfluence]
