  • The Daily Mail launches eReader edition
    The release of a “paper look” electronic edition, in the footsteps of the Guardian and the NYT, has drawn scorn from several quarters. But the mimic edition is intended to do exactly what we’re hoping will happen in ebooks – look enough like the old tech to get even the Hate Mail’s luddite readers on board with the new.
  • The Publishers Association’s Stephen Page on the future of publishers
    There’s a good (perhaps the best) argument in here: that publishers are (or at least should be) asserting their role as taste-makers to offset the long tail effect…
