- Retracing the Nazi Book Theft: German Libraries Hold Thousands of Looted Volumes – SPIEGEL ONLINE – Fascinating piece on wartime book theft, and the librarians tracking it all down.
- PersonaNonData: Google Announces Settlement in AAP Lawsuit – Finally, an agreement. The really interesting bit is the creation of a rights registry – or at least, the call for one. - Google, Publishers, Authors Guild Settle | Booksquare – Kassia makes good points all round. You have to wonder how things might be different if publishers had gone into this with a different attitude though.
- Acclaimed Colombian Institution Has 4,800 Books and 10 Legs – NYTimes.com – Luis, Alfa, and Beto. A library I’d love to have visit. (Ta, Tom)
