- coverspy NYC publishers sneaking a look at what people are reading on the subway. For a while I've wanted to install barcode readers on the tube, so London commuters can swipe their books alongside their oyster cards. This is probably more achievable.

The awesome Julie Wilson was doing something very similar to coverspy in Toronto with Seen Reading (www.seenreading.com). It’s currently on hiatus, but she was looking for new ways to develop the project, so maybe you should talk? I think you’ll hit it off!
