Hi James,
I'm no tech-type but to my own surprise was all energised by your talk at the IYPY seminar. My press is tiny--just two people doing 24 bks a year--and we function out of a small hill town in India which acquired broadband just last year. Our publicity budgets are as small as our town. So your incredibly practical demo of how one can use the net to market effectively and virtually without expense was a huge help. It demystified the whole thing and made me come back and set up a blog for my press the very next week! Watch this space, you might see me turning into a geek.....

Thanks for the feedback Michelle...

Glad to hear it's a useful resource, and glad you like the introductory essay too - I still refer back to it regularly - and still agree with it! For everyone else, it may take a little more time...

For those who don't know Michelle is a fantastic publisher from South Africa - check out her books at Oshun.

Hi James

Thanks for putting up this site - great to have it as a reference that can be used interactively (I'm using it to let my boss and team know about some ideas from here right now!)

It was also fun to read your original blog posting - it would have been even more fun to throw it out to the IYPY group and cause a barney (as we call a bare-knuckled fight over here) but you are, as always, a man of great diplomacy.
