I don&#039;t mean it literally, although I accept the criticism. I&#039;m not really happy with my own description of the writer above in any case, but what I&#039;m pointing to, however ineptly, is the depth of the text. I&#039;m more and more convinced of the primacy of the author in any case, and have no desire to decentre them, or force them to caper, scrape or change.</description>
